Quote Basket for Wix: request quotations without fixed prices
Updated: 5 days ago
Guide updated 18 October 2026 with our refreshed Quote Basket branding.

When supplier prices keep changing, a fixed online price can create more work than it saves. Quote Basket lets customers explore your products and send their requirements, so you can check current costs before preparing a quotation.
I'm Mark Evans at Insomnia I.T. Systems, and I built Quote Basket for businesses such as trade suppliers and fabricators that need the details before setting a price. It is purely for quotation requests: customers do not purchase products or pay through the basket.
Seven-day free app trial where eligible. Wix shows the current monthly or annual price, local currency, taxes and renewal terms before you confirm.

Get the requirements before you give the price
Collect quantities, finishes, dimensions and notes using product options and custom fields.
Choose which products appear in each page's catalogue widget, with a shared quote basket across those pages.
Match colours, fonts and spacing to your brand, and personalise customer and team emails with your logo.
How the quotation workflow works
1. Create your catalogue
Add products, images, descriptions and options in the app's product manager. Add required or optional customer fields such as a measurement, dropdown answer or longer note.
2. Add the widgets to your pages
Place catalogue and basket widgets on your Wix site. Select products for each catalogue and adjust its appearance. Customers can gather items across pages within the same site and browser session.
3. Receive the request
Customers review their selections and submit their contact details and requirements. The app saves the request in your dashboard and prepares the configured customer acknowledgement and team notification.

4. Check costs and prepare your quotation
Your team checks current supplier costs and availability, then responds through your usual quoting process. Quote Basket does not calculate quotations or import a supplier-price feed.
What you need to set up
A Wix site with access to install the app and edit its pages.
Products created in Quote Basket's own catalogue; this release does not import Wix Stores, Bookings or CMS products.
Catalogue and basket widgets on the relevant pages, plus saved team notification settings.
An eligible trial or active app plan for new quotation requests.
Preview the product fields and both email templates, then test your configured flow before inviting customers to use it.
Common questions
Can I request measurements or show different products on each page?
Yes. Add text, number, dropdown or longer-note fields, and choose the products separately for each catalogue widget. Required fields help you collect the details you need.
Will it take payment or update supplier prices?
No. It collects enquiries for you to quote manually. The merchant's app subscription is separate from the customer's quotation request.
How do notification emails work?
The app can prepare separate customer and team emails using your saved templates and logo. Sending uses a shared allowance of 100 messages per day and 3,000 per month across merchants. Delivery may queue or fail; saved requests and email status remain available in the dashboard. Inbox placement is not guaranteed.
